Photography, Cycling & Coffee

The rural landscape of South Norfolk, England, where I live is a considerable visual and sensory inspiration. Its many fields, hedgerows, woodlands and wildlife give a visual feast at all times of the year, whether out walking, running or cycling. The county’s quiet gentleness is in contrast to the more rolling and harsher landscape of Yorkshire from where we moved over a decade ago and I’ve gradually adjusted to Norfolk’s peaceful countryside.

Photography has been a life-long past-time and passion since childhood when I first took pictures on my Dad’s old 35mm Halina 35X camera. I love working on specific themed projects using a variety of cameras, both digital and film. Digital and film have their uses and various effects and I use both mediums depending on the project. My favourite camera of all time is my cheap Holga 120N because I just love its imperfections and randomness; it’s like being a kid again and not knowing (and often being surprised by) how each image will turn out until they are developed.

I am also a keen runner and road cyclist and, as well as taking photographs, I love spending the weekends trail running or on my bike across the Norfolk countryside.

Finally, I need high quality and very strong coffee to fully function!
